The Improve the News Foundation (ITN) is a non-profit news media technology organization led by MIT professor Max Tegmark. It is founded on the premise that democracy works best when people are well-informed, and that both machine-learning-fueled filter bubbles and politicized fact-checking are having the opposite effect. ITN's website and mobile apps run a free news aggregator that can show conservative and liberal articles side-by-side, and will soon launch editorial content with an ambitious novel approach to separating fact from opinion.
