I’ve demonstrated my SEO and digital marketing skills the past 6+ years through roles at marketing agencies and in-house, including with Capital One, NerdWallet, and clients in B2B SaaS, ecommerce, financial services, and many other industries. I’ve led every aspect of SEO campaigns, from ensuring sites are technically sound for search engines to crawl and index, improving domain authorities through backlink acquisition, and producing content based on keyword research. At NerdWallet, I led SEO for the credit cards and travel verticals. As an affiliate site in the finance industry, we aimed to rank for some of the most competitive keywords in search marketing. Political campaigns spend significant time and resources on channels like email, SMS, and paid media through Google and Meta. But in many cases, they neglect SEO and allow their opposition to control the narrative when voters are searching for their name and policies. Campaigns must implement an on- and off-site SEO strategy to influence search results. Additionally, they must coordinate with state and local parties to develop content that pushes unfavorable coverage down to page two of results and lands favorable coverage at the top of page one.
