The Daily Caller is looking for a full-time associate editor to join its dedicated and dynamic team.
The full-time associate editor position is not remote; the candidate must be able to work in the office in Washington, D.C. A candidate for this role must be an efficient and competent copy editor with good knowledge of AP style. The candidate should also be capable of editing news stories for accuracy and readability, assuring that the sourcing is legitimate and done properly. He or she must also have excellent attention to detail and a desire to maintain objectivity when editing and pitching news.
Responsibilities for the position include copy editing and publishing incoming news stories, pitching stories to reporters, collaborating with writers and helping with the management of the website. The candidate must have excellent news judgment, with an eye for what stories are compelling to our readers.The candidate should also have a strong knowledge of U.S. policy and politics.
One to two years of previous editing experience is strongly preferred but not required. Salary is commensurate with experience.
