Media Monitoring Analyst

America Rising, LLC is a research and communications firm whose mission is to produce the content necessary to wage effective earned and paid media strategies. We do this by providing rapid response research reports, video tracking, media monitoring, and consulting through on-demand and subscription-based plans and platforms. Founded in 2013, America Rising has worked with more than 500 different Republican and conservative organizations and candidates to win races up and down the ballot nationwide. America Rising LLC seeks a multi-talented individual to serve as an Analyst.

Qualified candidates possess at least 1 year of relevant experience on Capitol Hill or political campaigns, in journalism or a law, lobbying, public relations, marketing or public affairs firm or trade association. Under the direction of senior staff, the Analyst is responsible for media monitoring and compiling news compendiums for issue-based campaigns and clients.

Qualifications: Successful candidates possess up to one year of relevant experience on Capitol Hill or political campaigns, in journalism or a law, lobbying, public relations, marketing or public affairs firm or trade association. Ideal candidates will possess strong reading comprehension and writing skills and be familiar with media cycles, campaign-style opposition research, and current political and policy issues. Candidates should also have strong proficiency with using computers.

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree required. Majors in communications, political science, journalism and related field are especially encouraged to apply.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Candidates will have strong analytical and research skills, are detail-oriented and have demonstrated success in a team environment.

• Though not required, experience with TV Eyes, IQ Media, LexisNexis, social media, video editing, and/or political writing, is also a plus.

• Strong interest in news and political media.

• Familiarity and interest in current political and policy issues.

• Ability to learn new subjects quickly and gain an in-depth understanding of complex public policy topics over time.

• Excellent time management skills and ability to work under tight and competing deadlines.

• Experience using various social media platforms
