Amanda Brett 103 New Perry Road Greenville, SC 29617 Amanda4greenvilleschools@gmail.com https://www.linkedin.com/in/amandaaustinbrett/ 864-567-5997 To whom it may concern, It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter. I was born and raised in the Upstate where I grew up in a small town. There, I learned to love God and to be wary of the government. While attending Clemson, politics began to spark my interest. (Bill Clinton was President, so there was a lot of sparking.) I won Ms. Easley in 1996 and competed in Ms. South Carolina. During this year of competition, I was fortunate to meet and get to know many local legislators. I have been following South Carolina politics, both on a small- town local level and statewide ever since. Fast forward to the present and you will find a woman who has many great accomplishments, but my most rewarding achievement has been raising two amazing boys. Zander is 20 and a rising junior at The Citadel with ranking. Wels is 18 and a rising freshman at Wofford College. As a single mom, I am blessed with two boys with strong, conservative heads on their shoulders. In addition to being a hands-on mother, I have worked on several local campaigns and am active in communicating with South Carolina legislators and voicing my opinion on key votes. I also thank the ones who deserve it on every occasion for holding strong. I am fortunate to be connected with quite a few South Carolina elected officials and am grateful to call a lot of the Freedom Caucus members my friends. In 2022 I felt the calling to do more, so I dove into the shallow end of the pool and ran for Greenville County School Board. I successfully defeated the Chairman and 21-year incumbent and am now in the middle of my first four-year term. My diverse background gives me a leg up in feeling comfortable speaking to people of all walks of life, from the gas station attendant to the multimillion-dollar investor. My rolodex is thick and calling on any of my contacts at any time is a luxury that I don’t take for granted. I am a confident woman with the intelligence to support my confidence. My ability to listen rather than speak comes in handy when getting to the truth of the matter. People enjoy talking to me and I appreciate the conversation. I have super sleuthing research skills and love to write and copy edit. My managerial skills are well honed and I am a fantastic multi-tasker. My strong will and dedication to preserving South Carolina’s strong conservative heritage motivates me each day to make a difference for the future of our state and the United States of America. In closing, my resources, ability to learn quickly, my passion for liberty and my people skills are the just a few attributes that would make me a great addition to the Young Americans for Liberty team. I appreciate this opportunity to introduce myself in writing and look forward to speaking with you and discussing opportunities to help Young Americans For Liberty grow. Kind Regards, Amanda Brett
