To Whom it May Concern, My name is Amy Joy Wilson and I am an eager and dedicated individual with large dreams. I have 2 years of experience working with design and programming and 1 year of experience in customer service and event planning. I believe my passion for inspiring and loving people would make me an ideal fit for many positions. I graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While I planned to work in the political world, I am leaning towards a different path in life. I interned on Capitol Hill in Summer of 2020 in late Congressman Ron Wright’s Congressional Office. The time I spent there allowed me to work on skills such as communication, multi-tasking, thinking skills, technology skills, and more. This internship allowed me to explore the professional world and learn important skills that I can carry onto any career. I am thankful for the time I had there and the lessons learned. Not long after my internship, I accepted the offer to be the Media Manager at Fielder Church. In this position I managed the media for the children’s ministry across three campuses. It was here where I mastered Canva, Meta Business Manager. and Instagram. I found a love and passion for creating, sharing, and planning content across multiple channels. One of my responsibilities other than social media was to create programming content for Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. It was in this position where I found a joy in doing work. In this role I gained skills such as teamwork, content creation, and many social media insight skills. My most recent position has been a Guest Services Representative at the world renown law firm, Kirkland & Ellis. In this role, I gained skills such as customer service, scheduling, and white glove service. All these skills would make me an ideal candidate for many jobs. I am ready to grow from the current position I am in and pursue my passion in an environment I love. Over the past eight months, I have dedicated my energy and efforts to freelancing while gaining valuable experience in web design. My creativity serves as my primary motivation, and I excel in environments that foster innovation. I am currently in search of a career that I can stick with for years to come. It is important to me to work in a life-giving, positive environment. A smile and act of kindness in the work place whether in person or remote can go a long way.
