Anything else?

To Whom It May Concern: I am writing to express my interest in LA, LC, and Committee Research Assistant roles within the House of Representatives and the Senate. As a lifelong conservative, I align with the beliefs of Republican members advocating for U.S. global leadership in the 21st century. My qualifications include project management, policy writing, and an expertise in foreign policy with an emphasis on China. While interning for the House Foreign Affairs Committee under Chairman McCaul, I managed multiple projects on behalf of PSMs and foreign policy analysts. One of these included leveraging my Mandarin fluency to give insights into the Belt and Road Initiative for the China Task Force. As an intern in Senator Bill Hagerty’s office, I wrote a memo on modifying Taiwanese defense policy to deter a cross-strait invasion. My graduate thesis centered on countering Chinese influence in Latin America, demonstrating my grasp of PRC overseas influence operations and U.S. national security. These experiences, backed by a master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, will allow me to effectively navigate legislative issues relating to foreign affairs, intelligence, economic policy, and veteran affairs. Please find my attached resume, which further highlights my qualifications for these positions. I am eager to discuss potential positions and am available at your convenience by phone or email. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Andrew C. Siguler
