Brandon Goldman Norfolk, Massachusetts 02056 | (508)-440-9748 | bgoldman64@gmail.com As a graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree in economics, and a graduate of Northeastern University with a master’s in public policy, I have had over 6 years of relevant, professional experience. At UMass Amherst, I immersed myself in a curriculum that developed my knowledge of economics and politics. The most relevant example of this is my experience from my Money and Banking class where I studied extensively how banking institutions react to monetary policy set by the Federal Reserve and its effects on individuals and small businesses. Moreover, the curriculum at Northeastern University for the Master of Public Policy program was highly relevant. Multiple courses in the program involved doing real work for real clients. That work consisted of collaborating with a small team of students to provide detailed policy reports to non-profit organizations to help them better achieve their goals. I have gained invaluable experience during these programs, on top of further expanding my knowledge of the political process, law, and a wide range of policies. Additionally, I have had a surplus of professional experiences. While interning at the Massachusetts State House for Representative Shawn Dooley, I spent over two years drafting letters, attending committee meetings, managing fund-raiser events, and ghost-writing the occasional column for the Boston Globe and other publications. During the summer of 2018, I worked with a team to strategize the Representative’s successful re-election campaign. In the fall of 2020, I was able to work my way up to Campaign Manager for Representative Dooley’s newest re-election bid. Tireless hours of organizing canvassing routes, managing and coordinating all volunteers, and planning mailing campaigns led to another successful re-election. In my most recent role as Campaign Manager for U.S. Congressional candidate Jesse Brown, I played a major role in every aspect of the campaign. Beginning part-time as the campaign’s Policy Advisor during my master’s program, I provided the team with press clips every morning, wrote social media posts on relevant political topics, and collaborated with the Communications Director and outside consultants on general campaign strategy. Taking over as Campaign Manager in May, my duties included overseeing all campaign operations, including writing and distributing press releases, organizing fundraising events, and maintaining close relationships with donors. I additionally served as the campaign’s primary point of contact with supporters, volunteers, and the press. Beyond my professional experiences, I also have a genuine passion for politics and policy analysis. As someone who always seems to be the “go-to” for policy insight among my friends and colleagues, I know I have something special to offer my future employer. If you wish to contact me, you can do so at my email address and mobile number attached at the top of this document. Sincerely, Brandon Goldman
