Greetings, My name is Chaz Kennedy and I am an first generation college graduate and a recent graduate at Texas Tech University where I have earned a degree in Political Science and a minor in theatre (acting). During my time in college I was an actor in an theatre department that leaned in a political direction that is completely opposite from my own. So, that ordeal not only built a desire to stand up for my beliefs and ideals but also a person who knows how to compromise and work with others who may think differently than me the Bible calls for us “To put away childish things”. I was involved in multiple campus organizations and leadership positions some of which I founded and served as president over which have included organizations such as Turning Point USA , Young Americans for Freedom being a Campus Ambassador for The Leadership Institute. My time building and running these organizations have helped me become a better leader and communicator and hope that this internship can help me build upon those profoundly important skills.Furthermore, I am interested and passionate in lobbying, government administration, policy, campaign work, and public service. And, I believe that being an intern for this office will allow me to learn invaluable networking skills, leadership prowess, and gaining knowledge, understanding and appreciation for how our government works and operates.
