Specialization

I am proud active-duty military spouse!

Skills

Emily Flynn (Caracciolo) is from Berlin, New Jersey. She graduated from Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees, NJ in 2018 and then went on to graduate from West Virginia University (WVU) in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Criminology. Currently, she is a part of the Graduate Program at the U.S. Naval War College, pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Defense and Strategic Studies. At WVU, she served in WVU’s Student Government Association, was an active sister of Delta Gamma Fraternity, Silver Wings, and a leader in multiple political organizations. She was a strong advocate for the University's Student Veteran population, and advocated for specific Veteran mental health resources. She is a former intern of Lt. Col. Kent Leonhardt, USMC Ret., West Virginia Agricultural Commissioner; Jack Ciattarelli, 2021 New Jersey Gubernatorial Candidate; and U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (WV). As a first-generation college student with a learning disability that she overcame, her participation in the WVU TRIO Student Support Services program was a significant factor in her successes. Upon graduation in May of 2022, she returned to the United States Capital to intern for Congressman David B. McKinley (WV-01), and shortly thereafter was hired as a Staff Assistant. Emily now serves under Congressman Daniel Webster (FL-11) as a Legislative Aide and Communications Assistant. She advises Congressman Webster on Veteran Affairs, Armed Services, and Values (Religious Liberty, Life, Marriage) portfolios, as well as appropriations. As a Communications Assistant, she produces the weekly newsletter, and other communications tasks. One of her passions is mentoring Interns, Fellows, and Veterans and has worked with staffers from both parties in Congress. Emily also serves as the Vice President and Communications Director for the Congressional Service Member and Veterans Staff Association. She is part of the second class of the U.S. Space Force Congressional Fellows. As a USMC military spouse, her long-term aspiration is to continue to be a strong voice for our Nation’s Heroes.
