I am a lifelong Republican, with a deep respect for conservative values. During my time as a student of history, I have always dedicated my research analyzing the region of Latin America and the Caribbean and the evolution of the region’s relation with the United States. In addition to this, I have a keen interest in the struggles of Latinos in this nation throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. Most of my research has focused on the history of Anti-Latino violence, the contribution of Latin Americans to U.S. daily life and popular culture, and the general lack of knowledge the average American has on Latin American history. U.S. political Commentator, James Reston, once famously said: “The U.S. Will do anything for Latin America, except read about it”, this is an essential assertion that I fully concur with, and which has motivated my research.
Not at the moment.
