As a lifelong learner, I will be a Master of Education candidate at the University of Miami during the upcoming semester and interested in the prospect of working closely and contributing meaningfully to any role as I advance my career in academia. I will bring a well-rounded perspective to the role that comes from the diverse experiences gained through my professional work, volunteer work, political science studies and educational studies. In my most recent job as the Deputy State Director for Election Integrity for the North Carolina Republican Party, I was solely responsible for managing over 15,000 poll observer shifts for the Primary and General election periods. I was also vital in maintaining operations in the North Carolina Election Integrity Headquarters, handling over 450 issues during the Primary election period and over 1000 issues during the General election period. Additionally, I managed and trained a team of Regional Election Integrity Directors, while continuing to handle the data for the Election Integrity team. During my internships for two different members of U.S. Congress, I exceeded expectations by assisting the entire staff with a variety of tasks. This included policy research, drafting constituent response letters and assisting in the selection of the 2019 STEM Scholars class. As an undergraduate student, my professors and peers recognized the quality of my work. I achieved high grades on every academic level, and during my final semester at the University of Alabama, I submitted my undergraduate research entitled “The Effects of the Coronavirus Pandemic on Student Assessment” to the Undergraduate Research Journal on the recommendation of my Educational Studies professor. I am a responsible, efficient, and hardworking person who works equally well with teams or as an individual contributor.
