To Whom It May Concern: My name is Scott Sebel and I am applying for a position with the Republican Party. Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself. Since childhood, I have always been concerned with the welfare of others. I have volunteered at my church, distributed food through Project Angel Food and cleaned the beaches through Friends of the Los Angeles River. As a young man I chose to focus my attention on education. I worked as a high school football coach for both Valencia High School and West Ranch High School. I earned my bachelors degree at California State University Northridge in Political Science and started working as a substitute teacher for both the William S Hart Union High School District and the Anaheim Union High School District. Teaching affords me the opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life but public service allows me to make a difference on a broader scale. I have a passion for politics and government and truly believe that the best way to affect change in our State and Country is through public service. I have volunteered on the Katie Hill campaign for Congress and the Gavin Newsom campaign for Governor. Both of those experiences have shown me how local government affects change and aims to protect those in our society who may not be able to protect themselves. I believe that I can make a positive impact on our community and on this organization. I am willing and eager to do what it takes to direct our (city, state, country) towards safety, security and prosperity. Thank you so much for the opportunity to speak with you further and I look forward to meeting you.
