To Whom It May Concern; Please accept my resume for consideration for your posted position. With curriculum development, project and program development and management of regional teams around Texas, instructional design, communication, marketing, and workshop facilitation experience, I am confident I will be a successful addition to your organization. I hope my resume and this letter convey adequately how my skills and talents will complement your mission and goals. In my current position as Executive Director/ CEO of Shield-Bearer Counseling Centers I manage the budget, solicit funds, engage in and speak at public meetings, and oversee daily operations of the facility. In my three years in this position I have balanced our budget, grown the infrastructure by 62%, increased our annual revenue from $700k to over one million dollars, and mitigated the many challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. I have a wide-range of experience which makes me an ideal candidate for a complex position with layered and difficult to define responsibilities. My current responsibilities included the management and oversight in the following areas: operational planning, human resources, financial, advocacy, development, fundraising, event planning, community relations and risk management, hiring and management of senior leadership, clinical programming, and staff. A portion of my highlights in this position include: That I have developed financial self-sustaining events in multiple regions throughout Texas during the past four years, increased our number of constituents, and our yearly programs significantly through public relations, social media and community partnerships. Developed human resource policies, procedures, training, and recruitment programs for volunteers and paid staff members to ensure positive guest experience and company growth. Responsible for financial stability and development of growth strategies for multiple revenue streams, including grant funding, retail, venue attendance, and sponsorships. Accounting and fiscal management included preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly and annual P&L reports for Board of Directors and governmental committees. Served as media and community spokesperson. A portion of my career has been as a teacher in both public and private schools. Teaching is a complex, demanding, and fast-paced career. It requires one to wear multiple hats each and every day and often requires these hats to be worn simultaneously. There are various stakeholders a teacher must communicate with regularly and needs that must be considered at any given time. I believe teaching has provided me with a breadth of experience and skills that are adaptable in similarly complex positions. In addition to teaching, I have been the Executive Director and Curriculum Manager of an educational non-profit organization; the Operational Manager of a family based blacksmithing company; and the Volunteer Manager of an inner city menโ€™s shelter. Each of these positions stretched my abilities by providing me with opportunities to develop additional skills and experience to handle greater responsibilities and diverse challenges. I have always had a tendency toward learning and personal development. I enjoy working with people and developing a successful project that will benefit others. I am drawn to the satisfaction of bringing together an assemblage of individuals, each with their own special attributes, and creating something enduring and valuable. My experience has fostered my ability to bring energy, creativity, and endurance to my work. All of my varied positions have required strong writing, communication, and organizational skills. I have experience writing instructional scripts, marketing material, web-based material, email notifications blasts, multi-media informational material, and print-based workbooks and textual aids. Whether working as a teacher or an executive of an organization it has always been important to maintain an appropriate, accurate, and timely public presence with clients, constituents, and colleagues. In each of my positions, I have interacted with a variety of individuals who have possessed a range of interests in the organization. Over the years, I have honed the ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and in such a way that would bring about constructive results. All of my positions have helped me to grow increasingly more adept at making complex material engaging, understandable, and persuasive. I am skilled at tailoring my communication to meet the needs and expectations of various audiences and to achieve the desirable results. I have the experience and the ability to handle difficult people and situations with professionalism, tact, and integrity. I have often been successful in defusing challenging situations or improving damaged professional relationships with clients, donors, or other employees for the better.
