ALGOP Executive Director Job Description
Salary Range: $60,000–$80,000

Job Purpose/Summary
To oversee and manage the staff of the ALGOP and its departments, provide counsel and direction for State Executive Committee membership, and implement party action.

Experience
- 3–5 years political experience
- College degree preferred
Additional Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Federal and State financial filings and election-related laws.
- Assist county parties with bylaw issues and handle candidate challenges.
- Manage payroll and insurance for party staff.
- Review contracts related to the different office departments.
- Identify and prevent party operations from conflicting with the bylaws.
- Assist subcommittees related to bylaws, resolutions, and finance oversight.
- Ensure payments to independent contractors and vendors.
- Work with a tax preparer to ensure timely tax filings.
- Collaborate with staff at HQ to identify quarterly and yearly goals for each department, support staff in achieving these goals, and report to the Steering Committee on staff activities.
- Manage day-to-day activity at HQ, including staff needs, attendance, job performance, and overall management.
- Support the Chairman in implementing special projects and fulfilling all needs related to the role of the Chairman.
