Special Assistant & Scheduler to the Chairwoman Reports to: COO/ED Works with: CRP Chair, Executive Director/COO, CRP Staff Location: Southern California Job Status: Full-time, Exempt Salary Range: $66,560 - $80,000 annual salary About the California Republican Party The California Republican Party (CRP) is the official organization of the ballot-qualified Republican Party and exercises general direction over the statewide election campaigns for Republican nominees for state elective office. The CRP’s members are the registered Republican voters in California.

Overview of Responsibilities The Special Assistant & Scheduler to the Chair is primarily responsible for managing the professional life, as requested, of the primary. The Special Assistant to the Chair travels extensively with the primary and is responsible for managing and troubleshooting any issues as they arise. This Special Assistant & Scheduler also maintains the Chair’s schedule, travel plans, and related records. The incumbent will have excellent written and oral communication skills and attention to detail, be able to anticipate problems and offer solutions, communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment with good humor, and work effectively with different teams. This individual will work closely with the Chairwoman and all California Republican Party Staff. Job Duties: Arrange travel and social itineraries. Travel extensively with the primary to various events, meetings and functions. Complete various administrative duties—such as managing documents and receipts. Assist with responding to correspondence. Work with COO/ED and CRP Staff to facilitate member outreach. Arrange meals and wardrobe as needed. Be prepared for any issue the primary may have—from providing for needs during travel – to making on-the-fly scheduling changes. Serve as a gatekeeper. Prepare the primary for meetings and brief on individuals/issues as needed. Communicate effectively with all of the primary’s staff and work in a team environment to accomplish the goals of the primary and the organization. Track, evaluate, and respond to all scheduling requests. Organize the Chairwoman’s daily briefing materials. Coordinate the Chairwoman’s travel arrangements. Organize the Chairwoman’s short-term and long-term schedule. Coordinate the scheduling of the Chairwoman’s press and media interactions with the appropriate Communications department staff member. Performing other duties as assigned to assist the Chairman’s Office team.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience in a confidential assistant role desirable. Be available to travel 50-75% of time. Be available to work in a 24/7 environment. Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
