Data Engineer- Political & AI Data Systems

Republican Jobs is leading the search for a Data Engineer to join a political consultant focused on building high-performance data infrastructure for campaigns and advocacy. The ideal candidate has deep experience in Python, is comfortable with scraping and large-scale data processing, and is excited to support AI-driven tools and analytics.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who’s worked directly with ETL pipelines and has hands-on experience scraping data in real-world production environments.

What You'll Do:

● Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines to collect, transform, and store political and commercial data

● Design systems for data acquisition via web scraping across multiple sources

● Work closely with engineering, data science, and product teams to power AI tools and dashboards

● Use Python daily to automate data workflows, clean complex datasets, and scale data operations

● Ensure high data quality, performance, and pipeline resiliency

● Maintain and document reusable scraping tools and data ingestion infrastructure

● Help build AI-informed systems, like retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) or vector search pipelines

What We're Looking For:

● Strong professional experience in Python, with regular use in past roles

● Proven experience with web scraping tools like Beautiful Soup, Playwright, Selenium, Scrapy, or Puppeteer

● Experience building production-ready ETL pipelines for structured/unstructured data

● Solid grasp of data architecture, error handling, and performance tuning

● Comfort working with APIs, structured documents, and large datasets

● Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in fast-paced environments

Nice-to-Haves:

● Familiarity with AI-related data concepts (e.g., vector embeddings, RAG)

● Experience with AWS, Databricks, or other cloud data tools

● Exposure to data visualization, data warehousing, or analytics engineering

Salary & Benefits:

$100,000–$150,000 depending on experience, plus bonuses and a full benefits package (medical, 401k, etc.)
